NewsFlash! Little Movement in December Visa Bulletin

The U.S. Department of State (DOS) released the December 2014 Visa Bulletin today. The only significant movement of cutoff dates for family-based cases is for Mexicans in the second preference “A” (FB2A) category, which is for spouses and (unmarried, minor) children of lawful permanent residents. FB2A Mexico advances by more than three months to January 1, 2013. For the employment-based, second preference (EB2) category, China moves forward a few weeks to January 1, 2010, while India remains at February 15, 2005. The employment-based, third preference (EB3) category sees a bit more movement, with EB3 China advancing by five months, to June 01, 2010, while EB3 India inches forward, to December 1, 2003. All remaining countries of chargeability in the EB3 category move up to a November 1, 2012 cutoff date.

MurthyDotCom will post a more complete analysis of the new visa bulletin in the near future.
