Our Hearts Go Out to Nepal

We in the United States woke this morning to news that Nepal has suffered another earthquake – an aftershock of the April 25, 2015 quake, the magnitude of which was unimaginable. Death tolls continue to rise, but recently have exceeded 8,000. In Kathmandu, temples that survived for centuries are now lost forever. An avalanche triggered by the initial earthquake wiped out the base camp for climbers of Mt. Everest. Villages have been flattened, and getting aid to them is difficult. But help continues to arrive from the international community.

The MurthyNAYAK Foundation has made a donation to WaterAid toward relief for this devastated area. Since 1981, WaterAid has worked to supply clean drinking water and sanitation to communities in the developing world and those suffering the aftermath of natural disasters. We encourage you to give whatever you can to the charity of your choice.
