Very Little Movement in April 2016 Visa Bulletin

The U.S. Department of State (DOS) released the April 2016 Visa Bulletin this afternoon. In the employment-based categories, there is no change from last month in the dates for filing (DF) chart. As for the final action (FA) chart, the movement is extremely limited.

The employment-based, second preference (EB2) category for India advances by less than a month, to November 8, 2008. EB2 China moves ahead by exactly one month, to a new cutoff date of September 1, 2012. The forward movement is similarly sluggish in the employment-based, third preference (EB3) category. EB3 India moves up by about three weeks, to a cutoff date of August 8, 2004, while EB3 China sees a ten-week advancement, to August 15, 2013.

MurthyDotCom will post a more extensive overview of the April 2016 Visa Bulletin in the comings days.
