The Murthy Law Firm is proactive beyond the advising of our clients and practice of immigration law. We provide useful information and answers to questions for our clients and others in the immigrant community through our eNewsletter, the MurthyBulletin, our weekly session of the MurthyChat, our online bulletin board, the MurthyForum, and our award-winning WebSite, MurthyDotCom.

Most visitors to MurthyDotCom are aware that the Murthy Law Firm distinguishes itself with these and other pro bono services that help the cause of immigration in the U.S. In this section of MurthyDotCom, which we refer to as MurthyTakesAction, we offer visitors a glimpse of the efforts of the MurthyTeam - our attorneys and our phenomenal staff - for the benefit of the entire immigrant community, not only our clients.

The MurthyTeam monitors proposed laws and regulations and engages with our elected officials at the state and national levels regarding the importance of immigration to a thriving, healthy America. We also obtain favorable interpretations of U.S. immigration laws and regulations by writing to government agencies. We argue and propound reasons for our belief that certain interpretations are logical under existing laws and regulations. By speaking and moderating on various panels, attorneys from our law firm discuss and negotiate complex issues with senior officials at the various conferences and seminars to help our clients and the greater immigrant community. Each year the MurthyTeam contributes generously, both financially and through our participation, to the American Immigration Lawyers Foundation (AILF), a nonprofit organization that educates and litigates various immigration-related issues. The MurthyTeam helps AILF to identify and select accomplished immigrants whose contributions to this nation have been outstanding, promoting a better understanding of the benefits of immigration to our country and all her citizens.

Our attorneys speak at local, regional, national and international conferences and seminars to teach immigration law to immigration lawyers and members of the public. We participate in various community activities that promote improved conditions for immigrants and educate community leaders on the need for a continuously improving immigration system. The MurthyTeam works as hard outside the office as inside the office to promote a nation welcoming to immigrants so that that rich heritage may be fortified for generations to come.

Immigration Matters! SM
