Christopher Drinan, Attorney

Chris represents both individual and corporate clients of the Murthy Law Firm before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of State, and the Executive Office for Immigration Review. He deals with a variety of immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions for individuals and corporations, complicated citizenship and nationality issues, and assists criminal attorneys in analyzing the effects of criminal convictions.

Prior to joining the Murthy Law Firm, Chris practiced at immigration law firms in Boston, MA and in Las Vegas, NE. He has represented a variety of corporate and individual clients. He has experience in family- and employment-based immigrant petitions, nonimmigrant visa petitions, adjustment of status and consular processing, naturalization, waivers, asylum and removal defense. Chris has practiced immigration law since 1996.

Representative Experience

  • Presented oral arguments before the United States Courts of Appeal in New York and Boston, on behalf of clients in removal (deportation) proceedings
  • Prepared nonimmigrant worker (H1B and L-1) petitions for wide variety of large, medium and small companies
  • Prepared O-1 petitions for musicians, actors and performers
  • Prepared immigrant visa petitions for a wide variety of workers and employers in all employment-based visa categories, including EB1, EB2 and EB3, as well as religious worker petitions
  • Represents clients in interviews at USCIS District Offices on a regular basis
  • Regularly represented clients before the United States Immigration Court, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
  • Represented numerous clients in civil lawsuits against the United States government for delayed or denied immigration benefit applications
