New Year's Message 2006
Posted Dec 30, 2005

As another year ends, I look back fondly on all the wonderful things that 2005 brought us, and with some trepidation at the things that were less than positive in the world and in U.S. immigration law. The end of the year provides us with the opportunity to reflect on our lives, the events that transpired, and the people we have met. It is also a vantage point from which to look to a future filled with hope and promise; wishing for the good things to last and for the not-so-good things to become a part of our history.

As regular MurthyDotCom and MurthyBulletin readers are aware, in 2005 we at The Law Office of Sheela Murthy, P.C. have changed our trade name to the Murthy Law Firm. This better reflects our size and stature in the world of U.S. immigration law. The change in our name reflects our rapid growth and tireless advancement since our inception in 1994. Our firm continues to grow, both physically and in reputation, as we help people to navigate the maze of U.S. immigration law towards their common goal of case approvals. Thanks to the loyalty and goodwill of our clients, our friends and supporters, we have been able to expand and fine-tune the free services we offer to the immigrant community - our weekly offerings of the MurthyChat and MurthyBulletin, and our online bulletin board, the MurthyForum. These services constantly grow in popularity, enabling us to help those in need of information who are not our clients, as well as those who are. Without your patronage, however, we would not exist. We take our responsibility seriously and appreciate the honor you bestow by entrusting your lives to us in all of your immigration matters, so that we, in turn, may help the broader immigrant community.

Looking forward to the coming year, our goals for outreach expand to certain pro-bono cases and lobbying for improvements in laws and procedures to benefit our clients and U.S. businesses that are suffering as long as caps and retrogression remain as they are. We will continue to fight for you and your causes in 2006 and beyond. We will further strengthen our fight for better pro-immigration laws. We at the Murthy Law Firm will work to persuade the USCIS to issue opinions and letters that better address the business realities, requiring faster decisions and interpretations to help the business community and unite families - all for a better America!

With your help and support, we will continue to work tirelessly so that the light of the torch of Liberty will keep burning in our hearts and souls in the New Year and beyond. From our family to yours, may 2006 bring us love, happiness, and good health that remain with us through future years! Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to continue to serve you in the coming year.
