Attorney Murthy to Visit the Chennai Consulate in Dec. 2000
Posted
Dec 11, 2000
The Law Office of Sheela Murthy, P.C. is probably the only immigration law firm in the U.S. or, indeed, in the world that makes it a point to visit the U.S. Consulate in Chennai each year. Attorney Murthy will be traveling to India in December 2000 to meet with the Chief of the Consular Section and the Vice Counsel to discuss various procedural and legal matters.
Each year, Attorney Murthy makes the time and effort to travel to India to meet with the Chief of the Consular Section and other senior officials at the U.S. Consulate in Chennai. This provides an opportunity for our firm to discuss procedural issues with the Consulate and go over individual client matters as well. The Consulate has been very helpful and supportive while discussing legal issues and offering guidance of time frames and other procedural matters. These discussions enable us to provide our clients with the latest, most cutting-edge information on both non-immigrant processing and immigrant processing information.
In the next issue of the MurthyBulletin, we will outline an Agenda of the overview issues we intend to raise with the Consulate. Of course, client-specific details will not be mentioned, to provide full confidentiality to the client. As is our common practice, once Attorney Murthy returns from her trip, we will summarize the discussions, both for the benefit of the members of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and for clients, prospective clients of The Law Office of Sheela Murthy and our
MurthyBulletin readers, all of whom can benefit from the exchange of ideas and legal issues discussed during the meeting.
