It was not until after returning to the United States from her recent visit to India that the magnitude of the Tsunamis to strike south Asia in the final week of 2004 was revealed to Attorney Sheela Murthy. In her New Year's Wish for 2005, she announced that the MurthyFoundation would be helping 100 families affected by the devastation. Since that time, the MurthyFoundation has donated an additional $12,000 to relief efforts.
