Receipt Delays at CSC
Posted Oct 05, 2001

On September 14, 2001, the INS California Service Center (CSC) issued a notice advising the public that there had been delays in issuing receipt notices. CSC is increasing its staff and equipment and expanding its hours in an effort to resolve the problem. In the notice, a chart (available on our CSC Processing Times page) was also provided to indicate which types of cases delayed and how long it is currently taking for receipts to be issued. CSC suggests waiting about 5 to 7 business days from the date indicated to receive the receipt notice.

Please also note that if payment is stopped on the filing fee, the INS will charge a $30 bounced check fee.
