H1B Processing at CSC - Update Posted Sep 24, 2000 On September 14, 2000, the California Service Center (CSC) of the INS reported to a representative of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) that CSC was adjudicating H1B cap cases filed on or about August 14, 2000, and non-cap cases dating from August 23, 2000. These processing times show substantial improvement over last year around the same time.  Unfortunately, CSC also found that there were problems in getting receipt and approval notices out on some H1B cases. There are many cases awaiting data entry at the CSC, so that even after a case has been received it is taking a while to be entered into the computer system and for the receipt to be printed. In regard to approval notices, a computer glitch in August 2000 caused some data on approvals to be lost. CSC personnel are now going through and updating the information so that approval notices can be printed and mailed. © The Law Office of Sheela Murthy, P.C.
