New DOS Form to Designate Agent to Receive Correspondence
Posted Mar 03, 2001

In order to communicate more easily with immigrant visa (IV) applicants, the State Department (DOS) has begun sending out a form, the DS-3032, to confirm whether the IV applicant would like to receive correspondence directly or though an agent or attorney. The National Visa Center, the Department of State (DOS) processing facility in the U.S. that coordinates the immigrant visa process, will be providing the DS-3032 form to beneficiaries of immigrant visa petitions.

In case the beneficiary has already become a permanent resident or for whatever other reason does not wish to pursue the IV case, the form also provides a space to indicate that information. The form requires the beneficiary's signature.
