The American Immigration Law Foundation (AILF) will be sponsoring its 2nd Annual Metropolitan Washington Teacher Symposium on November 6, 2004. This free, day-long symposium is specially designed for teachers, educators, and staff members who are involved in developing and presenting innovative and important curricula to children grades K-12. Designed by educators, the symposium will provide the tools to objectively and fairly teach the controversial topic of immigration, with an overall theme of tolerance and appreciation for diversity. This is a wonderful opportunity to receive the tools and ideas essential for conveying America’s proud heritage as a nation of immigrants. Each participant will receive a resource manual, classroom posters, and award-winning children’s books as well as continental breakfast, complimentary lunch, and coffee breaks.
