DOL Seeks Directors for PERM / Backlog Reduction Programs
Posted Jun 04, 2004

At the end of May 2004, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) started advertising the positions for Director of each of the PERM processing centers and the backlog reduction centers. This is a positive step forward and is consistent with the information provided by the DOL indicating that the PERM regulation is moving forward, as are the plans for two labor certification backlog reduction centers. More information about the progress of PERM and the labor certification backlog reduction centers is available in our article, DOL on PERM and Backlog Reductions, also in this June 04, 2004 issue of the MurthyBulletin.

We at The Law Office of Sheela Murthy will look for additional information regarding these positions and the progress of these programs. We know that PERM and backlog reduction are key issues for MurthyDotCom and MurthyBulletin readers in the labor certification stage and for those in H1B status, contemplating the initiation of a labor certification case.
