Mexican Nationals Permitted to Remain Longer on BCC Posted Aug 20, 2004 ©MurthyDotCom The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued an interim rule on August 13, 2004 permitting Mexican nationals with border crossing cards (BCC) to remain in the United States for up to 30 days without I-94 cards if these Mexican nationals remain within 25 miles of the U.S. land border or within 75 miles of the Arizona land border. Since the border crossing card has biometric identifiers, the CBP has determined that the I-94s are unnecessary for the limited numbers of individuals who meet this criterion.
