Representative Zoë Lofgren has again come to the aid of immigrants! Following her efforts that helped to pressure the USCIS into accept I-485s for employment-based applicants, the Congresswoman from California's 16th District now has introduced a bill in the U.S. House of Representatives that would void the fee increases implemented by the USCIS which became effective July 30, 2007. This Bill would have to first pass both Houses of Congress and then be signed by the President in order to become law. Whether or not this proves successful, it shows that Rep. Lofgren is a true friend and supporter of the proimmigration community. Her announcement on this issue available on her website.
