Armenia Removed from Call-In Registration List
Posted Dec 27, 2002

Armenia was removed from the call-in registration list in a Federal Register Notice issued December 18, 2002. This supercedes the previous Federal Register Notice, issued on December 16, 2002 and reported in the December 20, 2002 MurthyBulletin. The two other countries listed, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, remain subject to the third phase of the call-in National Security Entry-Exit Registration System (NSEERS).

That December 20, 2002 article, Special Registration : Phase 3 - Armenia, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, contains information regarding the call-in requirements. Except for the inclusion of Armenia, the information in that article remains valid. Male nationals, age 16 and above, from eighteen other countries have had to undergo registration. We will continue to follow this developing and controversial issue.
