Meet the Murthy Law Firm: Tina Pearre

The dedicated team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff at the Murthy Law Firm is integral to our success. Day after day, they help to fulfill the dreams of our clients through their integrity, diligence, and commitment to excellence. To introduce our readers to the dozens of individuals who come together to make our clients and our firm successful, we periodically present one of our exceptional team members. This entry in our continuing “Meet the Murthy Law Firm” series shines the spotlight on paralegal Tina Pearre.

Tina’s first exposure to the U.S. immigration system came in middle school, when she volunteered as an usher in a naturalization ceremony held in her school’s auditorium. She majored in psychology at Frostburg State, Maryland, with thoughts of becoming a criminal profiler.

But life took a detour after Tina graduated and her grandmother became ill. In caring for her, she learned a lot about her family’s heritage. “My grandmother’s family came from Germany, but she didn’t talk about them that much. Instead, she told me all about how she met my grandfather and about my grandfather’s family. His parents were from Sicily, and didn’t speak any English when they arrived here. …”

After her grandmother passed away, Tina worked at Adams Hanover Counseling Services assisting people with mental illnesses. “I planned social and educational activities for the residents and monitored medications. While I enjoyed the job, I knew it was time to move on and utilize my skills in a more professional setting.” She went back to school and earned a degree in paralegal studies. Once Tina joined the Murthy Law Firm, she realized that the position was a perfect fit for her. “We’re all here to help the clients and we work together to achieve that goal. There’s a great sense of camaraderie.”
