Am I required to remain employed with the I-140 petitioner for 180 days after it is approved in order to use it to extend my H1B status? Does it matter if I move to a new employer before I reach the 180-day mark?

Answer The 180-day rule does not require employment with the petitioner. It just requires that the I-140 be approved, and not revoked, for 180 days. (20.Feb.2017)In frequent sessions of our Chat, Sheela Murthy and other senior attorneys provide guidance that clarifies the law in real time....

We are undergoing the EB3 green card process, we have our EADs and travel to India using our AP. Has there been any change in that process?

Answer There have been purported draft executive orders circulating that eliminate some forms of parole. Advance parole does not appear to be presently involved in these draft orders.
