Representation Process

Once it is determined that the Murthy Law Firm will represent you, the following steps will occur:

Step 1: Legal Representation Agreement

You will receive your legal representation agreement (LRA) from our Client Services Department. The agreement is tailored to the client’s specific immigration matter and whether they are a business or an individual / family.

The LRA includes:

  • The scope of representation
  • An overview of the immigration process
  • Legal fees
  • Government filing fees, including applicable USCIS fees

Step 2: Activation of your Legal Matter

Once we are in receipt of your signed LRA and the required initial payments, your legal matter will be:

  • Assigned a client ID or case number
  • Transferred to the appropriate legal department
  • Provided with a dedicated attorney and paralegal team

Step 3: Your Legal Team

Your paralegal

  • Gathers documents and information needed for your case
  • Prepares filings and correspondence
  • Keeps you informed regarding the progress of your case

Your attorney

  • Provides legal advice and strategy
  • Answers legal questions
  • Addresses complications or changes affecting your case
  • Guides you through important decisions

Please note that, by law, paralegals cannot provide legal advice. Questions requiring legal analysis or advice must be directed to an attorney.

Thank you for your interest in the Murthy Law Firm. We look forward to assisting you, your family, and your business with your U.S. immigration needs.
