Terrific Sessions on Day Two of the EY Strategic Growth Forum

Many other terrific sessions on day two of the EY Strategic Growth Forum.

The morning started off with Howard Shultz, Founder and CEO of Starbucks speaking about the rise and crisis and his renewed desire and belief to make the company rise again. Panels with wonderful ideas on how to become cutting-edge and innovative with leaders from proctor and Gambel, Harman International, and Neustar. Many CIOs are Indian nationals at many of the leading companies.

The session was interesting with Zappos founder Tony Hsieh speaking of people seeking happiness in their lives and their philosophy is to ensure their employees and clients have a really happy atmosphere with belief in the core values and mission of the business.

During lunch I was inducted in the EY Hall of Fame in the Services sector. I had the opportunity to meet Roz Alford a woman owned business of 850 employees who was really impressive. She has offices in India and seemed excited to team up with our law firm.

Then right after lunch, Twitter founder Biz Stone spoke of wanting Twitter not just to be considered an instrument that helped to change the use of technology but to influence humanity in a positive way.  Learning from Magic Johnson about his success in the field and in business was inspiring. He shared some great stories.

There were sessions to meet fellow nominees and learn their stories. Overall another good learning and contacts day.
