Istanbul : Cultural Dialogue

I traveled with a small group of professionals and community/ business leaders to Istanbul and Dubai recently. The trip to Turkey and Dubai was organized by the Maryland Institute for Dialogue (dialoguemaryland.org). A small group of business and community leaders from the Baltimore-Washington area were selected to travel and attend meetings in March 2007. It was an incredible opportunity! The purpose of the trip is to improve and increase cultural dialogue and inter-faith dialogue to better understand other cultures and people and see how we can all work and live together harmoniously in an inter-dependent world. The more we learn about other people, the more we realize that we are more like each other than different. We all want to provide a safe and loving home to our families and loved ones. It was a wonderful eye opening experience to see, meet and learn from other people and to work closely together with other leaders in the Baltimore area.
