Murthy Named to List of Top 100 Most Influential Entrepreneurs

IndUSb Business Journal recently named Attorney Sheela Murthy, founder and president of the Murthy Law Firm, one of the 100 Most Influential Entrepreneurs and Professionals for her contributions to the South Asian business community in the United States. IndUS is a national business newspaper, read by leading entrepreneurs, business executives, and professionals in the Indian and South Asian business community.

In receiving this recognition, Murthy is in the best of company, joining a who’s-who of the South Asian business community in the United States, including luminaries such as Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit; PepsiCo Chairman and CEO, Indra Nooyi; Bose Corporation Founder and Chairman, Amar Bose; Motorola Co-CEO, Sanjay Jha; and SanDisk Corporation Co-Founder, President and COO, Sanjay Mehotra.

The Top 100 listing was included in the IndUS Business Journal’s 10th Anniversary Edition.  An introductory note remarked that many of the honorees had risen to prominence in the past ten years, “or hit the pinnacle of many years of hard work,” and that a majority “were closely followed by the newspaper and its readers and the interest in their success served as the gripping news that helped the paper grow and expand its influence.” IndUS thanked the honorees “for their role in the paper’s 10-year history.”

We are very proud to see Ms. Murthy recognized for her leadership as both a leading entrepreneur and a professional. We extend our congratulations to her, and a fond “Happy Birthday!” to our friends at the IndUS Business Journal.
