Attorney Sheela Murthy Honored at Corridor, Inc. Awards Ceremony

Murthy Law Firm founder and President, Sheela Murthy, was named a finalist for the Corridor, Inc. 2011 Person of the Year Award, and was honored along with a Who’s Who of other prominent business leaders at an awards ceremony reception on February 16 at the new Hotel at Arundel Preserve in Arundel Mills, MD.

Nominees for this award were chosen based on feedback from readers of Corridor, Inc., a business and political news magazine that reaches thousands of influential executives in the Baltimore-Washington region. In announcing the nominees back in December, the publisher described the criteria that led to their selection:

The achievements of all these worthy Nominees provide us with a good sense of what our readers value most: hard work, fairness, integrity, and a desire to give something back.

Corridor, Inc. interviewed Murthy for a feature on the Person of the Year Award nominees that appeared in the December edition. (See Nominee Bios.)

Murthy extends her warmest congratulations to her fellow nominees, and to the evening’s top honoree, Aris Melissaratos, Special Advisor for Enterprise Development to the President of Johns Hopkins University, and former Secretary of Maryland’s Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED). Melissaratos was chosen from among the finalists by garnering the highest total in a web-based voting process.

Sheela Murthy is deeply honored to be in such impressive company, among the leaders in this region of go-getters and high achievers. All of us at the Murthy Law Firm are honored too – but not at all surprised!
