Sheela Murthy Leads Girl Scouts Kickoff in Annapolis

Murthy Law Firm Founder and President, Sheela Murthy, gave the opening remarks at the Girl Scouts USA kickoff celebration of the Year of the Girl campaign at the State House in Annapolis in February. The event celebrated the Girl Scouts’ 100th anniversary as a national organization, and 50 years of distinguished service to girls in Maryland. As board chair for the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, Murthy was honored to received the official state proclamation, issued by both the House and Senate, to commemorate this occasion.

The Girl Scouts provide a place where girls are encouraged to share and explore their hopes and dreams. GSCM provides this kind of safe exploration for over 30,000 girls in 2,053 troops and groups in Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, and Howard counties, with the help from nearly 10,000 dedicated and committed adult volunteers.
