The USCIS announced that the H1B cap for Fiscal Year 2013 (FY13) was reached on June 11, 2012. Confirmation was issued on June 12, 2012, which also advised for the first time that the advanced-degree cap exemption limit was met on June 7, 2012.

Cap-subject cases reaching the USCIS after June 11, 2012 will be rejected. No information was provided as to whether there will be any type of lottery for the cases filed on June 11, 2012.
