The Sikh Temple Tragedy: Our Heartfelt Condolences

We at the Murthy Law Firm extend our deepest sympathies to the families, friends, and the shattered community left reeling after the devastating and senseless act of hatred perpetrated in Sunday’s shooting at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin. We join people of every faith and ethnicity, all across this great land, in condemning the violence, and call on our fellow Americans of every faith to stand together in solidarity with our Sikh brothers and sisters who were attacked at their house of worship. Perhaps this is best used as an opportunity to dispel the kind of fear, ignorance, xenophobia, and blind rage that surely played a part in Sunday’s attack, by learning about our Sikh neighbors and the religious faith they share with 30 million Sikhs the world over. As a nation, we should pull together and embrace the diversity that is our country’s greatest strength, to show the world, and each other, that we strive to live up to the ideals to which we cling. The right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness belongs to ALL Americans, without exception, as does the freedom to practice one’s religion.
