Sheela Murthy Speaks at AILA Solo Practice Event

Murthy Law Firm founder and president, Sheela Murthy, spoke at a continuing legal education conference sponsored by the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the leading professional organization for immigration lawyers. The conference, called “Business School for Immigration Lawyers,” was designed for attorneys with solo and small practices, to help them learn the business basics necessary to run successful law practices.

Murthy spoke on the first day of the course, in a seminar entitled Time Management for the Immigration Practitioner: Managing Time and Information Overload, which she presented with time-management consultant Meg Spencer-Dixon. Having grown a highly successful immigration law firm from the small solo practice she started in 1994, Murthy had many valuable insights to share, and her presentation was very well received.

The event was held October 25th and 26th in Washington D.C. and, as a courtesy to Baltimore-area immigration professionals, a free simulcast was hosted at the Murthy Law Firm’s offices in Owings Mills, MD. Our collaboration with AILA reflects our dedication to public service, and our shared commitment to promoting the highest standards of professionalism in our field.
