Murthy Law Firm Gathers for Family Retreat

Murthy Law Firm attorneys and staff recently were joined by their families and significant others for a weekend of rest, relaxation, and fun at the firm’s Family Retreat and Thank You Weekend. Held on Maryland’s scenic Eastern Shore, it was the perfect time to get away, and a good time was had by all!

Thanks to our hosts – Murthy Law Firm founder and president, Sheela Murthy, and her husband, Vasant Nayak – the MLF family had the run of the extensive facilities at the resort complex. When the guests arrived on Saturday afternoon, it was hard to decide what to do first: Head for the game room? Unwind in the hot tub? Hike the nature trails? Sit by the fire with a good book? There was something for everyone, almost an endless number of ways to work up an appetite for the evening’s feast.

Guests were welcomed to a sumptuous buffet dinner, before which Sheela Murthy offered an invocation, reflecting on this season of Thanksgiving, and the many blessings we share. She gave thanks for the meal, and for the chance to be together with her “second family” – treasured colleagues who share her mission of serving our clients with compassion, empathy, and professional excellence. Ms. Murthy thanked us for our hard work and dedication throughout the year, and expressed her deep appreciation to the loved ones who make this work possible, through their daily support. Her remarks were greeted with beaming smiles and a standing ovation, and followed by food, fellowship, and fun!

The group came together again the following morning for a breakfast buffet. We drove home, happy, relaxed, and refreshed after a weekend spent among old friends and new, already looking forward to next time!
