NewsFlash! USCIS Expects H1B Cap Limit by April 5, 2013

The USCIS anticipates that the H1B annual limit, or “cap,” for fiscal year 2014 (FY14) could be met by April 5, 2013. This expectation applies to both the regular cap of 65,000 as well as the additional 20,000 cap exemptions under the advanced-degree cap. As part of their preparations for the expected influx of H1B filings, which begins April 1, 2013, the USCIS is suspending the premium processing service for cap-subject H1B cases for the period of April 1-14, 2013.

More information on the H1B expectations and the temporary, limited suspension of premium processing for cap-subject H1B cases will be available in upcoming articles on MurthyDotCom.
