NewsFlash! USCIS Will Conduct H1B Cap Lottery

The USCIS has confirmed that a random computer selection lottery process will be conducted to select H1B cap-subject cases for processing. This lottery will consist of all cap-subject H1B cases filed with the USCIS between April 1 and April 5, 2013. The USCIS will first conduct a lottery of cases filed under the advanced-degree (or Masters’) cap exemption. A second lottery will be conducted consisting of all cases filed against the regular cap, as well as those advanced-degree cap cases not selected in the advanced-degree lottery.
