Immigration Reform Bill Introduced in Senate

On Wednesday, April 17, a comprehensive immigration reform bill, known as the “Border Security, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Modernization Act of 2013,” was formally introduced in the Senate. The 844-page bill was co-sponsored by a group of eight U.S. Senators – four Democrats and four Republicans – known as the “Gang of Eight.” The full text of the proposed legislation can be viewed online. This bill is merely a proposal for changes in the law.
