How the Murthy Law Firm Celebrates

Employees of the Murthy Law Firm gathered at Stevenson University in Owings Mills, MD in the spirit of the season to celebrate together. This traditional annual gathering is a favorite of our attorneys and paralegals, client service, accounting, admin, and tech workers. Grateful for all that we have, when there are others who have so little, we were pleased when founder and president of the firm, Sheela Murthy, and her husband, Vasant Nayak, announced that they had made a donation to Akshaya Patra from the MurthyNAYAK Foundation in the name of each employee. Akshaya Patra is a nongovernmental organization (nonprofit, or NGO), which feeds the midday meal to 1.4 million schoolchildren in India. Each donation made by the foundation, one for each employee, will feed one child in India for a full year.

The evening’s festivities were punctuated by performances from several talented members of the MurthyTeam, while photos of employees and their families were projected for all to enjoy. There were fun video presentations, and poignant productions, as well. A unique BINGO game got us up out of our seats and learning more about our coworkers.

It is safe to say that a good time was had by all!
