NewsFlash! USCIS Completes Data Entry Process for H1B Petitions Selected in Lottery

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued a news alert this afternoon, informing stakeholders that the data entry process has been completed for all cases selected in this year’s H1B lottery. The USCIS will now begin returning all cap-subject petitions that were not selected. Due to the large number of petitions filed, however, the agency cannot yet provide an estimate as to how long this process will take.

The USCIS further notes that some cap cases are being transferred from the Vermont Service Center to the California Service Center in order to balance workloads. If one’s case is transferred, the USCIS will send notification by mail to the petitioner and/or attorney of record.

MurthyDotCom will continue to provide updates regarding this year’s H1B cap season as more information becomes available.
