Supporting Youth, Education, and Serving Veterans in NE Florida

The Tocqueville Society of the United Way of Northeast Florida (UWNEFL) brings together generous leaders who believe in giving with a shared purpose. As the incoming Chair of the Tocqueville Society of UWNEFL, I was honored and grateful to be amongst that leadership group to celebrate the year-end holiday gathering on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in Jacksonville, FL.

During that event we learned from the leaders of the UWNEFL of the various projects that they have been involved with and investing in. Since it was giving Tuesday, I was honored to make an announcement on behalf of the MurthyNAYAK Foundation of a multi-year pledge of a million dollars to support and strengthen their impactful work to uplift the community in various ways, including their focus to support youth, education, mental wellbeing, and serving veterans, in the region.

The Society is named after the 19th century author, Alexis de Tocqueville, who traveled from Europe to the US. In his writings he shared that he was inspired by the civic spirit of Americans, who generously support their neighbors to build stronger communities. Similarly, the United Way and the members of the Tocqueville Society of the UWNEFL continue its 100-year legacy in to strengthen the community through vision, generosity, and compassion.

I look forward to all that we will accomplish together!
