MLF Mourns Victims of India’s Recent Tragedies

All of us at the Murthy Law Firm were profoundly saddened to learn of the stampede that claimed the lives of scores of worshippers at a temple in Ratangarh, in Madhya Pradesh. It was truly an unfathomable stroke of misfortune that turned the joy of a religious festival into a calamity of tragic proportions. Our hearts go out to the victims and to the families and friends who are grieving their loss.

Our hearts are likewise heavy with concern for the hundreds of thousands who were displaced by the devastating typhoon that struck India’s eastern coast last weekend. We hope that the floodwaters will quickly recede, and that relief efforts will swiftly and effectively rebuild the lives and livelihoods – and infrastructure – that were shattered by the storm. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of these tragedies, and with their friends and loved ones as they struggle to carry on.
