Murthy Takes Action: Consular Help Available in October 2012

Attorney Sheela Murthy travels to India periodically to meet with U.S. consular officials on behalf of the Murthy Law Firm and our clients. Her next visit is in October 2012. Ms. Murthy currently has availability during this trip for representation of a limited group of clients. We take this opportunity to alert our readers so that plans may be made for those who choose to avail themselves of this assistance.

Purpose of Meetings with Consular Officials

As has been the case with Ms. Murthy’s past consular trips, the purpose of the meetings is twofold: firstly, to address general consular procedures, preferences, and problems; secondly, to present the credentials and overview of employers having visa problems. Ms. Murthy establishes the bona fides of each employer at the consulate where their employees’ H1Bs, L-1s, or other visas have been delayed or denied.

Typical Employers Using Murthy’s Services

As outlined above, this type of assistance typically is helpful for companies experiencing repeated instances of H1B, L-1, or other visa delays or denials when their current or potential employees apply for any such visas in India. There is a wide range of situations appropriate for this type of personal attention. In the past, Ms. Murthy’s representation has included assisting companies facing frequent H1B and L-1 denials, potential employer fraud investigations, audits of the employers in the United States by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), or the Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate (FDNS) of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or other reasons resulting in INA 221(g) denials and/or delays.
