NewsFlash! H1B Cap Met for Fiscal Year 2014

As expected, the USCIS received a sufficient number of H1B petitions during the first five business days of April 2013 to meet the cap limit for the 2014 fiscal year. The USCIS has also received more than 20,000 petitions filed under the advanced-degree cap exemptions  (Masters’ Cap). Therefore, the USCIS will not accept any cap-subject H1B petitions filed after April 5, 2013.

More information on the H1B cap and any lottery selection process for cases filed between April 1 and April 5, 2013 will be available in upcoming articles on MurthyDotCom.
