Will the employer be able to remove I-140 after 180 days of filing I-485?

Answer:

The employer can request revocation of the I-140 at any point prior to the GC approval. However, in an AC21 GC portability case, this action by the employer is not supposed to disrupt or otherwise cause a denial of the GC case. There is information covering this situation on MurthyDotCom. The continued ability of the employer to request I-140 revocation is part of the reason we recommend notifying the USCIS when using the AC21 green card provisions. It can help provide some protection and avoid case disruption or delays. (09.Dec.2013)
