My PERM case is in process right now. My employer recently changed the workplace location. Will that affect the process negatively? Can anything be done to correct things?

Answer

The answer to this depends upon how the PERM was prepared. If the intent was to work in one specific location, and the PERM lists the place of work as that one location, then the case is limited to that location. Changes in work location (other than certain minor ones within commutable distance) can mean the case cannot move forward. If the PERM case was prepared to allow for flexibility, such as with consulting type positions, then relocation typically would be built in to the wording, and changes in job location would be fine.
