I am in India with advance parole, and I just received my GC, which was sponsored by my U.S. employer. How long I can stay in India?

It would be best to return fairly quickly to get started on the GC employment, if you are the primary. There isn’t an exact set limitation, although there is the AP expiration date and the concept of abandonment of the GC. Since the GC is based upon an employment offer that one is expected to take upon approval, it would usually make sense to get back to the U.S. for that purpose. (20.Oct.2014)
