Harvard Law’s 200th Anniversary – and Sheela Murthy is There!

The Harvard Law School (HLS) is celebrating its 200th Anniversary in Cambridge, MA this week – October 26-27, 2017. In the video launching the event, Sheela Murthy, the Founder, President and CEO of the Murthy Law Firm is among the distinguished alumni featured.

Following the opening video, there were distinguished speakers. Among them were the President of Harvard University, Drew Faust, and the new Dean of HLS, John Manning, who each addressed those gathered. At the Sanders Theatre on the Harvard University campus, a lively discussion followed by six of the nine current Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court – all of whom are graduates of HLS ! What an amazing experience for all those present to enjoy and learn about the lives and experiences of Chief Justice Roberts and Justices Breyer, Gorsuch, Kagan, Kennedy, and Souter.

It was a different world in 1817, when HLS was founded. We are so proud and pleased that Sheela Murthy, a distinguished alumni of HLS, fights for the rights of immigrants. She is honored to be able to participate in this historic occasion – a celebration of one of the best educational institutions in the world.
