Sheela Murthy Speaking at ITServe Synergy 2018 Conference

The ITServe Synergy 2018 conference is slated to take place from October 24-26 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Murthy Law Firm Founder and President Sheela Murthy will be in attendance as a speaker at this prestigious event. ITServe Alliance is the largest association of IT service organizations in the country, with over 1,000 companies as members. The annual Synergy conference is a pivotal function in the tech industry, attracting thousands of business owners, executives, and lawmakers to participate in a “think tank” where strategies, products, solutions, and services are formed.

In addition to appearing as a speaker among a panel of preeminent business owners and executives, Sheela is also a member of the ITServe advisory board. Her involvement in the organization ensures that conference attendees will be well informed on immigration matters and how they impact the tech industry in the Trump era.

This year’s Synergy conference is especially salient to employment-based immigration law and policy. In early 2018, ITServe sued the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for suddenly declaring that offsite employment was prohibited for those in F-1 status working pursuant to STEM OPT extensions. This quickly prompted the USCIS to reverse course and abandon this attempted rule change.

The theme of this year’s Synergy conference is “Knowledge, Network, and Growth,” and with dozens of information packed workshops and a wide array of speaker presentations on the agenda, participants will leave feeling personally and professionally enriched. Those interested in attending this event can register at the ITServe Synergy Conference website.
