Sheela Murthy as Keynote Speaker at TiE Global Summit

Sheela Murthy, recent past President of TiE DC, entrepreneur, lawyer, philanthropist, and globally-recognized leader, was interviewed live as a keynote speaker for the TiE Global Summit (TGS) held this week, December 8-10, 2020, and organized by TiE Hyderabad, India. This was TiE Global’s first ever virtual summit. TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) is the largest global network of entrepreneurs with chapters across the globe.

The thirty-minute live session with Ms. Murthy was during the TiE Global Summit. The interview discussed the critically acclaimed biography and bestseller recently published by Harper Collins and authored by Adithi Rao, entitled, Being Sheela: The Life Journey of an Immigration Lawyer. It showcases the life and work of Sheela Murthy, with cases to provide inspiration for entrepreneurs and those seeking to do well and do good in the world. The book is at once moving, touching, dramatic, and exhilarating! Proceeds from the sale of the books through the MurthyNAYAK Foundation will support projects and programs both in the U.S. and in India, Sheela’s country of birth.

The 3-day virtual conference had only 4 or 5 keynote speakers, and Sheela Murthy was invited as one of the keynotes in a fireside chat and in a lively question-and-answer style. Over 2,000 entrepreneurs in the U.S. joined the live event with several thousands more expected to watch it online.
