U.S. Consulate General Chennai CLOSED Wed-Fri, 06-08.Dec.2023

UPDATE: Although Cyclone Michaung has dissipated, it brought heavy rainfall and flooding to the northern coastal areas of Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, and it is not yet safe to visit the U.S. Consulate.  Consequently, the U.S. Consulate General in Chennai will be closed again on Thursday, 07.Dec and Friday, 08.Dec.

All scheduled consular appointments (including visa interviews, dropbox, biometrics, etc) are cancelled due to Cyclone Michaung, and will be rescheduled. Information on rescheduling will be communicated to the applicants. The U.S. Consulate General Chennai, American Center and EducationUSA office will remain closed to the public until further notice.
