Year-End Message from Murthy Law Firm

During the holiday season, as we approach the end of 2025 and embark on the new road to a new year next month, it is time for us at the Murthy Law Firm (the “Firm”) to reflect on our history and purpose and why we do what we do with such passion and purpose. A new year is a new opportunity to count our blessings and provide each other with hope, love, support, and kindness along life’s journey.

Background and Vision of the Firm

The Murthy Law Firm was established in May 1994 as a world leader on U.S. immigration law – mentoring, educating, and empowering U.S. employers and those going through the immigration process. In fact, the USCIS webmaster in 2003 used the firm’s website, MurthyDotCom, to train U.S. immigration officers on how to better understand immigration perspectives for business / employment-based immigration. Ms. Murthy and the team at the Murthy Law Firm are bright, caring, dedicated, and passionate about supporting employers, individuals and families with their vision and mission of helping America to attract the best global talent to spur entrepreneurship, create U.S. jobs and energize our economy. We proudly embrace the concept that the United States of America is a proud nation of immigrants.

Ms. Murthy’s Mission and Her Civic Engagement

Ms. Murthy became a lawyer because she holds dear the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution and their principles of fairness and equality under the law. She is passionate in her belief and devotion to those principles and zealous in her dedication to justice, fairness, and opportunity that lie at the heart of what it means to be an American.

Over the last 35+ years, Ms. Murthy has frequently been invited to speak at national and international meetings and conferences, not just because of her leadership among the foremost U.S. immigration lawyers in the world, but as a passionate philanthropist, volunteer, and business leader. She has been recognized with too many awards to list, including the Philanthropist of the Year, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Global Leadership Award by the State of Maryland, and Innovator of the Year. As a philanthropist, she has given away millions to dozens of U.S. charities like the Girl Scouts, United Way Worldwide, United Way, the Baltimore Museum of Art, and the Maryland Institute, College of Art, and many other worthwhile organizations.

Ms. Murthy’s Passion and Purpose to Zealously Advocate for Clients

Everyone who knows Ms. Murthy will clearly understand that she is a zealous and passionate advocate to help her clients, and that she will challenge any adversary to advocate for justice, within the legal system, in a court of law. She also believes that no one is above the law and that the laws in this country require that all follow certain processes and procedures.

The cases filed by the Murthy Law Firm are for individuals who follow the law, work hard, pay their taxes, create jobs, and contribute to making the United States of America the best place in the world to live.

The Murthy Law Firm commends political and business leaders for recently reiterating the necessity to bring in global talent to fill needed gaps in the U.S. workforce to help the U.S. maintain its global leadership.

Differing Views Strengthen America and Helps Make Us Stronger

The greatness of the U.S. is its democracy, with the freedom of speech and expression. The strength of America is in allowing and encouraging competing viewpoints to flourish, so that the best ideas can be implemented to make us stronger and better. The Murthy Law Firm values that everyone is free to express their opinions on immigration. Immigrants care deeply about this country and love their adopted country dearly.

Who is an American?

Ms. Murthy is proud to be an American and help others achieve their American dream, by contributing to this great country. The Firm is honored to continue its tradition of successfully helping employers and families, and vigorously fighting for justice, supporting others, and engaging in the community, in the new year and for decades to come.

Ms. Murthy is a steadfast believer in the American Dream and takes to heart the immortal words received in a letter that President Ronald Reagan shared in his final presidential address to the nation: “You can go to live in France, but you cannot become a Frenchman. You can go to live in Germany, Turkey, or Japan, but you cannot become a German, a Turk, or a Japanese. But anyone, from any corner of the Earth, can come to live in America and become an American.”
