NewsFlash! Herguan University Students Reinstated!

There is a new twist for Herguan University. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has rescinded its withdrawal of Herguan University’s SEVP certification. This means that, for now, Herguan has SEVP certification and Herguan students will be returned to active status in the SEVIS system.

The confusion in this matter surrounds Herguan’s response to SEVP’s Notice of Intent to Withdraw their SEVP certification.  Initially, SEVP finalized their decision in the belief that Herguan had not responded to the Notice. Herguan claimed that a response had been filed. The miscommunication is tied to the eMail address used by Herguan for transmission of the response. SEVP has decided to accept the response and adjudicate this matter on the merits.
