Murthy Law Firm Sponsors AIC’s 2021 Heritage Awards

For decades, the Murthy Law Firm has been a proud sponsor and supporter of the American Immigration Council (AIC) and its annual Heritage Awards. In the time before COVID-19, this was a gala event that was held in conjunction with the annual American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Conference, attended by hundreds of U.S. immigration attorneys from across the country. Like most such celebrations at this time, 2021’s will be an online gathering, but that means it can be free and open to anyone who registers and has a desire to celebrate immigrants and the contributions they make to the fabric of our country.

This year’s honoree is Brazilian-born PJ Pereira of Pereira O’Dell, the advertising agency that has launched a new public service campaign with the Center for Inclusion and Belonging at AIC. “Belonging Begins with Us” aims to create a more welcoming nation, where all feel that they belong, regardless of their background or where they were born. On a lighter note, IndianAmerican comic Vijai Nathan will host the evening, which includes storyteller Edwidge Danticat and musical entertainment.
