After my I-140 is approved, is it necessary for me to stay with my employer for 6 months?

Answer

There is no requirement to stay with the employer for a period of time after the I-140 is approved. Of course, in order to file the I-485 and potentially obtain a “green card” the job offer must continue to be valid. So, if one gets an I-140 approval and quits before the I-485 is filed, s/he will likely need to restart the GC case with a new employer. (22.Jun.2015)
