NewsFlash! EB3 India Advances, EB3 China Retrogresses in August Visa Bulletin

The U.S. Department of State (DOS) released the August 2015 Visa Bulletin today. The employment-based, third preference (EB3) category for those born in India moves ahead faster than predicted, advancing by four months to a cutoff date of June 1, 2004. EB3 China, on the other hand, retrogresses severely, with a new cutoff date of June 1, 2004. EB3 Philippines, which had been unavailable, moves to June 1, 2004, as well. In the employment-based, second preference (EB2) category, the cutoff date for India remains at October 1, 2008. Meanwhile, EB2 China moves ahead by about 11 weeks, to December 15, 2013.
