USCIS Completes Data Entry Process for H1B Petitions Selected in FY19 Lottery

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced on May 15, 2018 that the data entry process has been completed for all cases selected in the fiscal year 2019 (FY19) H1B lottery. The USCIS will now begin returning all cap-subject petitions that were not selected.

The USCIS notes that, due to the heavy volume of filings, the agency is unable to provide a timeframe for how long it will take to return all the petitions that were not selected. The USCIS will issue a notice once that process has been completed.

The USCIS further notes that some cap cases are being transferred between the Vermont Service Center and the California Service Center in order to balance workloads. If one’s case is transferred, the USCIS will send notification by mail to the petitioner and/or attorney of record.
